Skilful Skies Painting Workshops with Kester Hew Crawford

9:30am – 12pm

Intended for beginner and improving painters, during this workshop Kester will guide you through his approach to painting cloudscapes and sunset skies, covering the materials and equipment he uses and his process for designing artworks. Through interactive demonstrations, Kester will then explain his painting methods including the application of paint using a palette knife and brushes and his philosophy towards colour mixing focussing on creating depth, luminosity and harmony.

With a background in architectural design, Kester has mentored university design students for nearly a decade and more recently has coached artists, applying his design knowledge and practical experience to help them reach their learning goals.

This workshop is limited to four participants.

All equipment is provided, please bring a box large enough to accommodate two wet 8” x 10” painting surfaces.
